Restock Alert: New Iron On Art Patches at Closet Collectibles!

0

This weekend I did another art drop off at Closet Collectibles in Crete IL! This included restocking sold out items but also adding a brand new product… iron on art patches!

I had a total of 50 patches made of my most popular art pieces, but here’s the kicker… there is only 1 patch made of each art piece! So if there is a particular art piece that speaks to you, be sure to make a trip to Closet Collectibles ASAP to get your hands on these unique pieces of wearable art. They are only $10 a piece and are a fun new way to rock my work!

Living Dead Girl Nicole's Art on Iron On Patches available at Closet Collectibles

I also have very little inventory left of my art print puzzles so I have decided to slash the price of the remaining stock to 50% off! That’s right, all of the remaining print puzzles are now only $5 a piece at Closet Collectibles. This will allow me to make more room for even more items I have in the works. Look for them in the same bin as the iron on patches and my remaining inventory of 5″x7″ prints.

I also decided the remaining stock of my Skullerfly Crystal Wreaths needed a better display stand. So I purchased this gothy little “Tim Burton like” tree and I could not be happier with the way it looks. I find it much more fitting for my work and it also leaves me room to make and add more of them. Although these particular creations are available to purchase in my online Etsy shop they are available at a discounted price* (as marked) for my in store Closet Collectibles shoppers and make for great gifts as well.

See these new additions and all my other art pieces in my display cabinet at Closet Collectibles and don’t forget to tell them Living Dead Girl Nicole sent ya while you are there!

*Price is discounted from online store prices. Etsy listings reflect the unfortunate amount of shop and transaction fees they charge us artists to sell online. If you are local or traveling to Illinois, I encourage my clients to save money and see my work on full display by shopping my artwork in person with my consignment partner, Closet Collectibles where they truly support my creative endeavors to the fullest as their resident local artist.

Freaky Fanatics: Corpsified Cake Toppers Were A Hit!

2

Back in December I posted the custom corpsified cake toppers I made for a lovely couple that was having a Halloween wedding this year. Well the day has come and the newly married Mrs. just sent me this photo saying “The cake was a huge hit!”

I can’t get over how bloody delicious it looks and how well the cake toppers went with everything. Such an honor to be a part of someone’s special day!

You can also see more of my handmade horror inspired prop decor on the Adopt The Undead and Remains pages of my portfolio site. And don’t forget to contact me or reserve a custom order if you want a corpsified couple of your own. They also make great anniversary and wedding gifts!

Adopt The Undead: It’s Zombie Wedding Time!

4

I have been bouncing back and forth between life and the undead for the last few weeks after receiving a custom order to make some corpsified creations for an upcoming wedding. Being a Halloween (2009) bride myself I wanted unique things for my wedding that I could not find at the stores so I also commissioned artists to bring my visions to life. Being an artist, It was actually very important and symbolic for me to include handmade creations. Having been there and done that I also know what all goes into finding the right artist to bring your vision to life. So when someone wants to incorporate my work into their wedding I am beyond honored.

For this order I was asked to make custom zombie cake toppers for a blonde groom and brunette bride with the dominant wedding color being a burnt orange. I was also asked to make 3 zombie hand barrettes that they will be using to clip to things such as boutonnieres. Here is what I conjured up!

When I do a custom order I always send updates to the client on how far along I am in the creative process and when all is said and done I send photos of the creation when it is completed to make sure no changes are needed before I ship it out. Needless to say I was very happy when I got a response from the bride today that said…“The amount of detail is impressive!!! These are great!!!”

You can see more of my handmade horror inspired prop decor on the Adopt The Undead and Remains pages of my portfolio site. And don’t forget to contact me if you want a corpsified cake topper (also great for anniversary and wedding gifts) or zombie hand barrettes (can also be made as pins) of your own.

Restock Alert: New Closet Collectibles Display!

4

Over the weekend I did another art drop off/pickup at Closet Collectibles (Crete IL)! I was pleasantly surprised to find that they gave me a new display spot in the store and I could not be happier.

It has nothing to do with my love of built-ins (well maybe that’s part of it) but it has everything to do with it being a prime spot in the store that really showcases and protects my work! I really love it! 💜

While I was there I picked up my Undead Doll Betty who was adopted on Etsy. Holly has now taken her place on display and is waiting for someone to adopt her and Teddy.

My “The Lovers. The Dreamers. And Me.” (of Jim Henson and Kermit) portrait prints also made their debut. While I was there I also re-stocked my sold out giclee art prints of my other Spitting Image portraits (which are now on the 3rd shelf pictured).

I am so grateful to Chris and Michelle for always thinking of and supporting me as their resident local artist at Closet Collectibles. Mother’s Day weekend is always a rough time for me so this really lifted my spirits. So blessed to be a part of such an incredible store ran by such incredible people. I can not recommend shopping there enough. And when you do, be sure to tell them..”Living Dead Girl Nicole sent me!”
