Restocked at Closet Collectibles with new Display!

Over the weekend I did another art drop off/pickup at Closet Collectibles (Crete IL)! I was pleasantly surprised to find that they gave me a new display spot in the store and I could not be happier.

It has nothing to do with my love of built-ins (well maybe that’s part of it) but it has everything to do with it being a prime spot in the store that really showcases and protects my work! I really love it! 💜 

While I was there I picked up my Undead Doll Betty who was adopted on Etsy. Holly has now taken her place on display and is waiting for someone to adopt her and Teddy.

My “The Lovers. The Dreamers. And Me.” (of Jim Henson and Kermit) portrait prints also made their debut. While I was there I also re-stocked my sold out giclee art prints of my other Spitting Image portraits (which are now on the 3rd shelf pictured).

I am so grateful to Chris and Michelle for always thinking of and supporting me as their resident local artist at Closet Collectibles. Mother’s Day weekend is always a rough time for me so this really lifted my spirits. So blessed to be a part of such an incredible store ran by such incredible people. This weekend I did my art drop off at Closet Collectibles in Crete IL!

Betty my 50’s inspired undead doll and my Walk On The Wild Side portrait giclee print made their debut as well as another exclusive item I made just for their shoppers!

Exclusive as in this is another item that will not be available to purchase online but will only be available to buy in person at their store! A great way to get something unique, while shopping small, local and supporting an artist all at the same time.

This exclusive item is my Caged Cannibal Scary Fairies! They come freshly fed and ready for their new caretaker and can be hung up for display! A mix of my love for whimsy and horror all rolled into one creepy magical creation! You can see more photos on the Remains page of my portfolio website as well as a little video on Youtube.

While I was there I also re-stocked my sold out giclee art prints of my Spitting Image portraits and added some new one of a kind Dead Girl Decay barrettes to replace others that have sold and am already in the works of masterminding some more!

My husband Frank also shopped their wide range of horror figurines while I did my drop off. He picked up a They Live Rody Piper figure and the Flasher Gremlin figure we have been wanting to add to our collection.

In other words don’t waste your time at places like Spirit Halloween or big box stores for horror decor this spooky season. I for one witnessed Spirit Halloween’s selection and call it “same shit, different year”. Closet Collectibles offers way more unique items and supports their local artists! They also love to buy and trade for their non art related items. So if you are looking to get rid of something from your collection for something else this is the place is an all around win win! Dead Girl Decay for Luau Date Night

Aloha!!! 🌺 This weekend we had a blast escaping from the cloudy chilly day we were having for a little piece of indoor tropical paradise at The Tiki Terrace with our friends.

I could not go on a luau date night without making myself a matching Dead Girl Decay barrette to go with my Universal Monsters Creature From the Black Lagoon dress. So here is what I created.

The beautiful green resin skull in the middle was custom made for me by my artist friend at Resin Glitz By Jen. She made me quite a few of these so be on the look out for them in my future creations!

Here is a photo that shows how my dress inspired the barrette and how it pulled it all together.

Shop Update With Limited Edition Items!

I have been going through my pre-made inventory and gradually adding items to my Amazon Shop. These are items that I had made but did not make them available to purchase online. So if you have not visited my Amazon Shop lately, it’s definitely time to start browsing again!

I have added 4 Limited Edition FRAMED Prints. Including It’s Gonna Be That Kind Of Morning (Pee Wee) in this metal rhinestone frame and 3 from my blood splatter collection. All signed by me and only 1 of each available!

I have also decided to discount the remainder of my pre-made Dead Girl Decay Accessories so that you can stock up for Halloween or prepare for the upcoming gift giving season.
