Ghoulish Garments: Support Art Boutiki

0

I felt it only appropriate to support my printing partner Dan Vado aka The Big Kahuna at SLG Art Boutiki whose music hall, gallery and store in San Jose is currently shut down due to the pandemic.

He has designed some new shirts to sell online that will help benefit his small business. This one really spoke to me so I scooped one up to wear proudly. You should too!

Quite a few years ago I researched and looked high and low for a reliable t-shirt printer who would print custom 1 off shirts for me after poor quality control from a bigger manufacturer I was using. I wanted the best for my clients and I was determined to find just that.

I was pleasantly surprised and relieved when I came across Dan’s work online. A small business owner who was also actively supporting the arts and musicians in his community and was very interested in working with me to help me get my art professionally custom printed on garments for my clients. Win Win!

To this day I still love working with Dan and can trust that even across the country that my Ghoulish Garments are each custom made for my clients with special care and the results are top notch!

With that all being said, this also means that whenever you purchase a Ghoulish Garment in my Amazon shop that you are not only supporting myself as an artist but you are also supporting this incredible small business man that gives back to artists and musicians. And as you all know I am a firm believer in artists supporting artists!

Don’t forget if you have a photo of yourself rocking one of my wearable art shirts let’s see it! Share it with me so I can feature you on the Freaky Fanatics slide show of my portfolio site!

Back Bone: Team Rosie Lives On In All Of Us

As some of you may know, we lost my Uncle Randy unexpectedly this year. What you may or may not know is he was incredibly passionate about supporting Down in the Southland on behalf of his daughter Rosemary. A few years ago he started Team Rosie to help raise money for their Annual Fundraiser Walk.

This is the last thing he posted on Facebook before he passed away…

Back Bone: Re-Animate The Horror Corner

0

As you all know I had my own GoFundMe set up a few years ago when I was going through a major health crisis. If it weren’t for the generosity of others, I don’t know how my husband and I would have gotten through things both financially and mentally.  I start my post off like this because I have been there and I know how hard it is to ask for help in a time of need. Which is why I am always trying to find ways to use my art to give back.  That is why when I was recently contacted by my friend Stephanie over at Morbidly Beautiful about a benefit raffle to help a fellow horror artist who was badly burned and lost everything in a fire, I immediately jumped on board.

If you are not aware, and surprisingly as it may sound, the horror community is one of the most kind and generous communities you can be a part of. That is why I was not surprised when I heard I was 1 of 70 shops who have donated their handmade creations to help raise money to “Re-Animate The Horror Corner“! Stephanie and I both decided that my Yours Cruelly Elvira/Cassandra Peterson portrait was ideal for any horror fan and a print of that piece will be going to one of the lucky winners.

If you love horror this is the raffle for you. Not only are you able to win some really unique prizes but your money will go to helping a horror artist to be less stressed while she recovers health wise and also help her to get back to creating and doing what she loves. Watch this video to see all the prizes and how you can enter!
