I just finished another split face portrait and just in the nick of time. See I have always wanted to draw Doug Jones but he has portrayed so many incredible characters I never could decide which one I wanted to draw. His ability to emerge himself into the makeup and transform himself into whatever character he plays not only blows my mind but is really inspiring. He is not your typical actor playing a role, he is the role.
When he appeared on the TV adaptation of What We Do In The Shadows as Baron Afanas I knew this was the character I wanted to create on paper. The Baron makes you fear him, love him. laugh with him and mourn for him. He also has a lot of wrinkles and I knew this would not just be a typical portrait but would give me a challenge. I also thought I had time to draw him and then I heard he was added as a guest to a convention we will be attending. I got so excited to meet him that of corpse my drawing hands went to work!
I completed the art piece just in time to gift it to him this weekend. I call it “Night On The Town”
If you too are a fan of Doug Jones and the Baron make sure to keep an eye out in my Amazon shop for prints and wearable art shirts! If you want to see more of my portrait work, be sure to visit the Spitting Image section of my portfolio site!
Last month I announced the addition of my new Dead Girl Decay portrait necklaces. Well, I am happy to announce that I have added 11 more necklaces to this unique wearable art collection. And like the last set, there is currently only 1 of each available.
That’s right Freaky Fanatics, I teamed up with another printer and this one specializes in stickers. I had them send me some samples to see how my portraits would print out as stickers to make them available to those who have been requesting them. I was so impressed I placed an order for 60 3″ x 3″ (approx. size) stickers. There are only 10 of each of the below art pieces available in both my Etsy and Amazon shops! Get them before they are gone. Collect them all!
I worked hard this weekend to bring you 9 new, one of a kind items for purchase in my Etsy or Amazon shops. These are portrait necklaces handmade by yours cruelly…..
Each portrait was printed on plastic, hardened and then coated in resin to preserve the image. I wanted them to be unisex so I attached them each to ball chains. Since these are handmade, there is currently only 1 necklace of each piece available so get one while they last!
And stay tuned! More necklaces of my other portraits to come soon! So if there is a specific portrait you would like to see as a necklace that is not available yet, please comment on this blog with your feedback!
Time to check another vision off of my artist bucket list. This time it’s my all time 2 favorite TV Sitcom Moms. They are beautiful, mysterious, sexy, cookey macabre moms that goth girls want to be like and goth boys wants to be with. They not only adorn the walls of our home but also adorn my arm as a part of my tattoo sleeve. And when they were not in character these 2 actresses were still drop dead GOREgeous!
That’s right I did a split face portrait of Yvonne DeCarlo as Lily Munster (The Munsters) and Carolyn Jones as Morticia Addams (The Addams Family).
Pretty excited to share my latest portrait with my followers. This one is in tribute to the very talented, Tim Curry. A mastermind actor who could bring creepiness, fun and just about any character to life on the big screen.
This one is another split face portrait (my specialty) that my fellow freaks will appreciate. It’s half Tim as Pennywise in Stephen King’s IT and the other half as him as Franken Furter in Rocky Horror picture show.
