So I had no idea until today (when I was uploading a new portrait) that my “20 Years Queer” Shirley Manson split face portrait was “Featured Portrait of the Day” December 15th on Stars Portraits! Very cool! It now has a heart next to it as one of the sites favorites. There are millions of talented portrait artists on there so I am very honored. Thank you Stars Portraits for featuring my work as one of your “best portraits“!
Garbage is doing a 20 Years Queer Tour art contest. My portrait that I just completed was perfect for this contest however it did not fit the size requirements. Well I wasn’t about to not enter (especially after the killer show we experienced Saturday). So I did a cropped/edited version of the portrait just for the contest.
The deadline to enter was yesterday and my entry just posted today due to the site having technical difficulties. I am already way behind as far as getting my entry exposure for votes. Please, please, please go to this link and vote for my entry and then share this link all over your social media or anywhere on the internet that will help spread the word that I need more votes to give my piece a fighting chance. Don’t forget to email it to your contacts too!

A little comment love on my entry page won’t hurt either but is not mandatory.
Feel free to reblog this post as well!. The key is to vote and when sharing telling others to do the same! Anything will help!
Thank you my Freaky Fanatics! It’s people like you that take the minute out of your day to do something like this that support HUGE way! Love you all!
I leave you with some memorable photos from Saturday’s Garbage concert! A Sweetest Day indeed!
I have met alot of cool people in my lifetime but I don’t think I will be so lucky (and honored) enough to meet and give this to Shirley Manson, so…….. I made it anyways and plan to rock it at the Garbage 20th Anniversary Concert that Frank and I are going to next weekend. I could not be more excited about the show. I saw them for the first time in 1995 and now getting to see them again in 2015 is going to be epic. Shirley of course was the inspiration for this Dead Girl Skullerfly Decay Barrette. Maybe she will spot it in the crowd and I can actually give it to her (a girl can dream right ha ha). Anyone know her? Share this post with her ;)~
I am actually working on a Shirley inspired 20 Years Queer Portrait! Stay tuned!
