I am very excited to hear from horror host Housewife of Horror. This week they will be airing My Son The Vampire and she will also be wearing another one of my Dead Girl Decay barrettes on the show!
This wearable piece of art is a one-of-a-kind Lucy Westenra tribute barrette. The center is a rate vintage, porcelain cameo that I hand painted to resemble Lucy and then accented it with red and black flower petals and feathers to complete a victorian style pin-up look.
As a huge fan of Bram Stoker’s Dracula I was tempted to keep this barrette and not actually put it up in my shop. But seeing how perfect it looks on Housewife of Horror I am so glad that I did. Also just knowing it is owned by someone who appreciates it as much as I do makes me very happy. The fact she has chosen to wear my handmade creations on her show for a 2nd time is an honor!
So tune in THIS Wednesday, November 13th at 7pm CST at EerieLateNight.com or follow the directions on the Housewife of Horror website to access the programming though your Roku! Don’t forget to also follow the show on social media and leave them some love on there for being so supportive of my work. Share this post while you are at it to help them get more viewers this week and every week!
See more ways my art has been featured on the Creature Feature section of my portfolio website!
It appears my “The Exorcist Was On” split face portrait of Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis and Ghostface has been chosen by Star Portraits as yesterday’s featured Portrait of the Day.
This is the 2nd portrait of mine that has been chosen to be Portrait of the Day on their site. The first one was my “20 Years Queer” split face portrait of Shirley Manson. It is always an honor when your work is chosen amongst millions of amazing portraits! So a big thank you to the people at Star Portraits for seeing the uniqueness of my work.
If you want to see where else my art has been featured go take a gander at the Creature Feature section of my portfolio website!
So if you are a Scream fan you will read the title of this entry and finish it by saying…. “It Got Me Thinking Of You”.
One of the most iconic “pick up lines” ever to hit the screen and leaving most girls saying “What the hell?” yet still being completely ok with it. That’s because it was said by no other than Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) shortly after crawling through Sydney Prescott (Neve Campbell)’s bedroom window.
So that leads me to my latest portrait I am marking off my art bucket list. You guessed it. It’s called “The Exorcist Was On” and it’s dedicated to Skeet Ulrich and his portrayal of Billy and Ghostface in the 90’s iconic horror film Scream! This one is far overdue. I have been a fan of the original movie since the 90s and Skeet (as well as Luke Perry) are the reason I started to tune in to the TV show Riverdale. And don’t even get me started on how excited I was when they paid homage to Scream on the show and he came through the Cooper’s window! So enough about how much I love Scream and Skeet Ulrich. Here is the final split face portrait to show you just how much I love them….
