In the mean time check out some photos from last years’ show!
Well I am sure all of you are waiting on photos from me showing how incredible the Munsters – Hardcore Hearse Club Show was last night. Me giving Butch Patrick my Eddie Munster Portrait. Us showing off our new Bride of Frankenstein Prop I made in the hearse.
Well here is a photo summing up the evening….
Yah needless to say I woke up Friday morning with a tickle in my throat and through out the day my nose was congested. I assumed it might just be the climate change etc. As the night went on I felt worse and I passed out early on the couch watching American Mary on Chiller (which is one of my favorite movies so I usually stay awake for it ha ha).
Saturday when I woke up I was even worse. With my immune system I knew being out in the cold all night would be a really bad idea. So needless to say Frank and I stayed home. I was so upset all day and evening long. I still am. Out of all the hearse events this season this was the one I was the most pumped up for. I am sure you can tell by all of my prep posts.
I still feel aweful and my meds are wearing off so I am gonna stop typing and get some more rest. Maybe watch some ID channel or be thankful that all of the TV channels are having Halloween Horror movie marathons.
I end this post with one word that sums up how I feel right now…. WAH!
Just getting ready to meet Butch Patrick on Saturday (at the Hardcore Hearse Club Fable Fright Night’s Munster Hearse Show)! EEK!

SHE’S ALIVE! Elsa is finally ready for her first show this weekend. We will be taking her with Frankenhearse and Franky to the Hardcore Hearse Club Munsters Themed Show at Fables Frights to meet Butch Patrick and hang out with the club.
My final step of her transformation was to distress the wedding dress we found for her at the thrift store. I always have a blast distressing clothes and this was no exception. I will admit at one point during the process I did wonder whose dream dress I was destroying as I was taking a box cutter to it and spraying it down with a mixture of water and paints.
Then when it was all said and done I could not help but think I just created a new dream dress for Elsa. I couldn’t help but clap after Frank helped me get it on her and I saw the whole thing come together. I could not be happier with the way it all turned out.
Here is a side by side comparison…
The 1st photo shows what the mannequin looked like when my mother in law found her for me. The 2nd photo is after I painted her, added my wig and necklace and then tried on the vintage wedding dress we found at the thrift store. The 3rd photo is my final creation after distressing the dress and putting her all back together again!
I may still paint her nails black just for some added girly fun. The great thing is her hands come off so I can do that whenever I feel like it. ha ha.

In preparation for an upcoming Hardcore Hearse Club Show where we will be showing Frankenhearse and also be in the presence of Butch Patrick, I decided to bust out my pencils and draw another one of my favorite sitcom family members..Eddie Munster.
I call this one “Vroom! Vroom!” because it is inspired by the Hot Rod Herman episode and the fact that the hearse show will also include replicas of the Munsters cars at the event. I didn’t want to draw the photos I saw online so I literally froze the screen to get the shot when Eddie is explaining to Herman all about drag racing and how he should go to the track and race his friend’s Dad. He tells Herman and Lily he is a sure win because Herman “is the best driver in the whole world!” Lily gets a good laugh until Herman agrees and loses the family car. That is until Grandpa builds Dragula and wins it back!
I am looking forward to meeting and giving it to Butch in a few weeks! I have met Lisa Loring who played Wednesday Addams a few years ago. I kick myself every time I think I missed the opportunity to draw and give her a piece of my work. It was still Epic to meet her though and I am really looking forward to meeting grown up Eddie as well.

Are you a spooky sitcom fanatic as well? Prints of both Eddie and Lily are available in my Etsy Shop! See more of my portrait work on the Spitting Image page of my website!

Over the weekend we participated in the annual hearse show at the Chicago Frights Halloween and Haunters convention. It was co-sponsored by our Hardcore Hearse Club so of course everyone had a great time!
Frankenhearse was on display right in the front as soon as you entered the lot!
As always, Frankenstein was nice and cozy in his body bag in the back.
There were lots of killer rides that showed up for the show.
We went inside and checked out all the vendors. I left with an awesome werewolf necklace from Zukati Creations. We also got a new Frankenskull (whose eyes light up green) from Missing Finger Productions. We are going to display it in Frankenhearse when we do shows and in our house whenever we aren’t. We were sold on it not just because it was a Frankenstein skull and that the eyes lit up green, but because it had a very Mars Attacks feel to it.
We were honored to find out that Frankenhearse took 1ST PLACE HEARSE!! We got another trophy!
We immediately put the trophy on display on our shelf at home. It is right next to the other one we got at the last hearse show and our new Frankenskull! As you can see Otis (our pet Axolotl) now has new shiny things to look at from his tank ha ha
The great thing about being a part of the club and taking part in all these fun events is all the amazing new people we have gotten to meet. Definitely looking forward to the next meet up!
