Yep Yeping It Up At Nightmare On Chicago Street 2017

1

Last year was our first time attending Nightmare on Chicago Street. We had a blast but we didn’t dress up because our main focus was to meet Butch Patrick so I could give him my Eddie Munster Vroom! Vroom! portrait. This year we wanted to go back but dressing up was definitely a part of the game plan. Getting everyone on board with the same group costume idea was the hard part ha ha. We came up with so many wonderful ideas but what we ended up being was a big hit with the crowd. We got stopped all night to take photos with people! Needless to say, they were “out of this world” šŸ™‚

One of the first ideas we came up with came around full circle and ended up being what we went as. Originally we had put it on the back burner due to having to make them with time restraints. Then I was searching on Craigslist for caskets (for Frankenhearse) and everything fell right into place. A super sweet lady handmade four Yep Yep Sesame Street alien costumes (the idea we originally came up with) and was selling them for only $20 a piece!! My heart (that beats for all things Jim Henson) skipped a beat. My husband Frank was totally game and urged me to get them. Our friends Mike and Ellie were right on board with us and the rest is history. Here is a photo of us yepping around at the event…

I am in pink, Ellie is orange, Mike is red and my husband Frank is blue. My favorite photo of the night had to be this selfie of Frank and I. It really sums up how fun the evening was…

Backbone: Prize Donations for the Hardcore Hearse Club Weekend

0

If you plan on attending the Hardcore Hearse Club’s Haunted Halloween Weekend then make sure to enter some of the great contests they are having. I won’t be vending this event due to other artistic obligations, but I have donated these handmadeĀ Dead Girl Decay Barrettes that will be given away as part of the prizes! It’s hard to see in the photo but they each come in super cute glittery bat bags.
