Spellbinding: Courageous Tiger’s Eye

0

When it comes to art or life in general I turn to Tiger’s Eye to give me courage, inner strength, confidence and to balance my solar plexus chakra. It is such a mesmerizing stone to look at and has now inspired me in a new way. I have used it to create and add another Limited Edition Spiritual Skullerfly Crystal Wreath to my Spellbinding Collection. Some more handmade magic to share with the world.

When looking at Tiger’s Eye it is easy to embrace its warm, swirly reflective color tones. I knew it was going to be perfect to create this particular wreath during Mabon and what better time to bless it than under the Harvest Full moon.

It wasn’t until this past weekend that I actually had the time and the perfect weather to photograph it. I wanted to wait until the leaves changed to really have the ideal background that embraces the warmth of what I created. I am so glad that I waited. I am also grateful to my husband Frank who enjoys a good off road adventure in our truck to find the perfect locations to photograph my work. I think it’s very important that these wreaths be photographed in nature as they are inspired by the magical gifts that nature gives us.

If this special piece speaks to you it can now be purchased in my Etsy Shop. It is perfect for hanging anywhere you want to feel a sense of self confidence and inner strength. The colors also make a beautiful accent for my fellow Autumn lovers and fire signs who love to decorate using the firey colors of Fall.

Because these are Limited Edition they are one-of-a-kind and only one of each crystal will be made. With their added symbolism they are perfect for a sentimental gift or to splurge on yourself for an extra pick me up!

Dead Girl Decay: My Skeleton Cameo Wedding Look

0

Living Dead Girl Nicole Cameo Gothic Burlesque BarretteLast night we attended a wedding for our friends Matt and Mari. When I had picked out the dress and necklace I wanted to wear for the big event (thank god for new with tag deals on Poshmark), I knew I wanted to make a special barrette to wear with it. My dress had lady skeleton cameo faces and an ornate gothic black design in velvet all along the edges. So I got an actual lady skeleton cameo piece to be the focal point of the barrette. My necklace was a black lace choker that was very vampy with beautiful red stones set in ornate gold metal (reminded me of the Dracula medallion necklaces you buy for Halloween costumes). So I re-painted the silver metal frame around the cameo to match the necklace. I was very happy how it all came together.

For a glimpse of some of the hair accessories that I have made for clients visit the Dead Girl Decay page of my portfolio website. If you have a big event coming up or need a unique hair piece for your Halloween costume, contact me about custom orders. And as always check out my Etsy and Amazon shops for pre-made ready to ship items!
