Last month I finished a commission order for Gabby, a return client and fellow Tim Burton fan. She had asked me to paint a pair of wooden angel wings inspired by Edward Scissorhands as a memorial for her dog. You can see detailed photos of them in my past post.
Gabby sent me in some photos she took of the wings hanging up in her home near the photos of her dogs and other inspiring Tim Burton art. They make quite the statement piece for sure. She also included this note…
“They’re here and even better in person!! Thank you so much for taking the time to make not only these but also my Zero and Scraps piece. It’s so wonderful to know an artist who truly gets what I enjoy!”
Thank you Gabby! I am so honored to be asked to paint such a special piece for you!
You can see Gabby’s photos as well as others I have received from Happy Customers in the Freaky Fanatic slideshow of my portfolio site! Also don’t forget to contact me early if you are looking to have anything commissioned from me for Halloween and the upcoming holiday season, as custom orders take extra turnaround time.
Almost 2 years ago I posted some photos of the paintings I did for my friends Kristin and Jesse who were having a baby boy. Jesse being a big train collector and also having a pet turtle I was quite inspired…
When Kristin set them up in the nursery she sent me a photo of them fully on display in baby Jacob’s room. I of course posted it to share with all of you because it made my day. Later on when I saw them in person hanging over his crib I was so happy to see how well they went with everything else in the nursery.
Well today baby Jacob is getting bigger and he is a lot more active at his age. So when I got this text from Kristin this morning it made me smile from ear to ear….
“Hi! Wanted to tell you, Jacob is big time into trains right now. Every morning and night he points to the pics you painted and says “Choo, Choo, turtle…” It’s so cute”
This is why I love using my talent to make hand made gifts. The hard work pays off when you get these types of reactions from people. Especially the little ones.
Thank you Kristin and little Jacob for making my day!
As the Creepy Captain of the Etsy Massacre Team I was just checking our team discussion threads and saw one of my members dedicated a whole thread to me. It totally just made my day so I had to share!
Seriously is it possible to make a dead girl blush. I guess it is if your a livinge dead girl! 😉

I just wanted to say thank you to all the wonderful reviews I have received online recently….
It makes me feel wonderful to know that my art has touched so many lives. Reading things like this puts everything in perspective and makes me love what I do even more!
