As I have mentioned before my favorite type of order to fulfill is a custom one. I love when people come to me and say I want this for so and so .. work your magic. It inspires the whole creative process!
I was recently contacted to see if I could make some headbands in my Dead Girl Decay style for a baby girl. The parents being a lot like me and being into tattoos, skulls etc. I was the perfect fit for the job and was happy to do it.
I thought about what past Mom’s have done when I made their little girls barrettes and they didn’t have enough hair for them yet. They clipped them on to a baby headband!
So after finding headbands I made three mini barrettes that can clip on to them. Then as the baby gets older and gets hair she can unclip them from the headband and wear them as barrettes. Then she never outgrows them. Shoot if Mom wanted to rock them even she could get in on the action.

Last May I had posted about the items I had made as baby shower gifts for the soon to be baby girl of our family. My cousin Patrick and his girlfriend Emily had the most beautiful baby girl and named her Juniper. In February before I was readmitted to the hospital I had posted the awesome photo that Emily had sent me of the owl paintings hanging in Juniper’s nursery. Well not too long ago proud Daddy Patrick had sent me a photo of Juniper rocking one of the barrettes I made her in her most recent photo session with Lauren Thiel. I had not had a chance to post it due to my 2nd surgery. So I am excited to post it now as my recovery is getting better.
