Dead Girl Decay : Jeepers! Jinkies!

0

Happy Autumn Equinox my Freaky Fanatics! I got a spooky fun treat for you today. Two new Pop Culture Icon Dead Girl Decay barrettes have hit my Etsy shop!

Inspired by my love of Daphne Blake (a past high school nickname of mine) and her ghoulfriend Velma Dinkley I give you “Jeepers!” and “Jinkies!” Fun and colorful wearable art with a touch of spooky cartoon fun!

The centers feature up-cycled plastic Daphne and Velma heads surrounded by a multitude of flower petals and feathers inspired by their iconic cartoon looks in Scooby Doo.

Perfect to wear for Halloween, Comicons or really anytime….these barrettes are limited edition (no one else will have one like you do) pre-made and ready to ship in my online Etsy shop. Love them but don’t wear barrettes? No problem! Many of my customers clip these to things making them unique additions to their home decor!

Like to shop in person and support a small local business at the same time? Then jump into your Mystery Machine and head on over to Closet Collectibles in Crete IL where these two barrettes will be available for purchase if they are not sold by the time I make my next art drop off!

Stay Spooky & Magical!

Loves: Nicknames

One of the nicknames I got in high school was Daphne as in Daphne Blake from Scooby Doo. It’s a rather long story how I got the nickname but looks did have something to do with it. So did a relationship situation and loving being around spooky things. It just was something someone said that stuck with me. One year I even ended up dressing up like her for Halloween.

I came across this new version an artist made of her and I guess they must’ve been thinking of me as the transformed Daphne at the age of 32 because they did a rather good job of her as my adult likeness ha ha ha ha ha.
