Dead Girl Decay: My Skeleton Cameo Wedding Look

0

Living Dead Girl Nicole Cameo Gothic Burlesque BarretteLast night we attended a wedding for our friends Matt and Mari. When I had picked out the dress and necklace I wanted to wear for the big event (thank god for new with tag deals on Poshmark), I knew I wanted to make a special barrette to wear with it. My dress had lady skeleton cameo faces and an ornate gothic black design in velvet all along the edges. So I got an actual lady skeleton cameo piece to be the focal point of the barrette. My necklace was a black lace choker that was very vampy with beautiful red stones set in ornate gold metal (reminded me of the Dracula medallion necklaces you buy for Halloween costumes). So I re-painted the silver metal frame around the cameo to match the necklace. I was very happy how it all came together.

For a glimpse of some of the hair accessories that I have made for clients visit the Dead Girl Decay page of my portfolio website. If you have a big event coming up or need a unique hair piece for your Halloween costume, contact me about custom orders. And as always check out my Etsy and Amazon shops for pre-made ready to ship items!

It’s been a while since I did some vintage, burlesque upcycled barrettes! I am feeling better and motivated! So I am happy to say I have 3 new custom, one of a kind pieces up in my shop all made from upcycled vintage jewelry pieces! I literally just finished them and they are all ready to ship.

All 3 are very different and can appeal to various styles. The first one features an upcycled piece that is very fae/fairy fantasy like. The middle piece a maltese cross with various shades of autumn like stones. The last features a very unique dragon cameo

The perfect accessory for that bombshell dress sitting in your closet. Looking to dress up that sweater and pants look for a special occasion? What about a fun hair piece to go with that Halloween costume your planning? These are also hot sellers among brides and bridesmaids looking for a one of a kind piece that will make a statement!

Get a closer look at them in my shop as well as on the Dead Girl Decay page of my portfolio site! Only 1 of each available!

Dead Girl Decay: Stacy AKA Trixie

1

So you may recall my super long Artist Shout Out post that I made after I came back from our Philly road trip. It mainly focused on the awesome custom hip/shoulder bag I had made by Stacy of Trixie B True. Well I could not get over how incredible it was. So I decided to thank her by making her a little something in return.

She is very involved in Roller Derby and you all know I am a big fan of that sport. I saw my first bout of the Windy City Rollers as part of my 30th birthday celebration because floor seats for roller derby was something I always wanted to experience. If I didn’t have so many health issues I would be all over joining ha ha. Either way, Stacy informed me that her team colors were red and black.

Here was the end result…
