Over the past month I have been working on some new Limited Edition Dead Girl Decay hair pieces to make available for pre-made/ready to ship purchases for the gift giving season. As you know, all of my hair pieces are one-of-a-kind in my specialty style… a touch of whimsical meets macabre! Here is a glimpse of the ones I recently conjured up.
Be sure to check out my Etsy shop to purchase what I have left remaining and don’t forget to contact me to discuss pricing and details if you are interested in something more custom. You can see a great example if you scroll down to my previous post and of corpse at the Dead Girl Decay page of my portfolio website. When not worn they make for great decor and have also been used to give a unique look to special occasions such as weddings, proms etc.
I am so thrilled to share with you a custom order I completed for a return client all the way in the UK. This client comes back each year to have me make a custom hair piece that he can gift to his wife for Christmas. This year he told me it is the first present she opens every year! I am so honored to be a part of this couple’s special holiday tradition across the globe. This year the theme he requested was Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. Here is what I conjured up…
The wife was very pleased and they sent me this stunning photo of her wearing it by the Christmas tree. I just love how perfect it looks in her hair.
Now that our friends have seen the nursery painting they commissioned me to do for their baby girl Paige, I can share it here with all of my Freaky Fanatics.
The painting itself is a mix of what the Mommy-To-Be was looking for mixed with inspiration from the nursery bedding and a bit of my own whimsical magic. I added various shades of glitter accents throughout that make it sparkle like a fairy blessed it. Hard to photograph how fun it glistens but here are some shots after I completed it a few weeks ago..
I am really looking forward to seeing how it looks hanging in Paige’s nursery and will definitely post photos of how it all blends with the look they are going for once I get photos. Until then go take a little visit to my portfolio website and check out the Drippings page to see more things I have painted over the years.
I never turn down an opportunity to take a photo with a dragon, so we made it a point to hit up my business partner Closet Collectibles in Crete Illinois this weekend to get some small business gift shopping done and meet their new firey mascot!
Anyone that knows me, knows how badly I wanted to adopt him! Unfortunately he is not for sale so we will have to keep visiting him. Which won’t be very hard as we love this store, the people who run it and they support my art to the fullest!
Speaking of… I also made sure to check out my art display to make sure it is fully stocked for all you holiday shoppers! So don’t forget to stop in, shop local and tell ’em Living Dead Girl Nicole sent ya!
