I’ll Bite Your Face Off..

Well me and Frank heard a few months back that Alice Cooper was coming back to town in December so we ordered tickets as part of our Xmas gift to ourselves 🙂
The concert was Friday night and it was just as kick ass as the last time when we saw him with Rob Zombie for our wedding anniversary.
Seeing he inspires me so much with his shock rock ways I thought I would share some pics I got with all of you  as I know you will appreciate them ..
Me and Frank waiting for Alice to come out on stage..
I am rocking my “I Spend My Nights With Alice Cooper” shirt and one of my Dead Girl Webbed Decay Barrettes!

Happy Turkey Day!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know I will be eating grub at the Mother In Laws house and then at some point tonight watching Thankskilling again this year ha ha I have made that movie a part of my Thanksgiving tradition for the last few years. If you have not seen it.. its a MUST!
Also speaking of must see movies.. GO SEE THE MUPPETS!!!! It was amazing (as expected since anything Jim Henson is always amazing)! But for those of us who grew up on Muppets this is a must see! Especially for the storyline. I actually shed a few tears during the movie and aint got no shame to admit it. I told my husband I am a Walter at heart and he agreed due to my Muppet obsession ha ha.

Dungeon Constructions Part 3

I came to the conclusion that I didn’t have enough working space in my art room AKA dungeon ha ha. I had moved my art stuff from our basement into our spare room after we had gotten a little bit of water in the basement after a TON of rain. I thought better safe then sorry even if nothing was damaged and we didn’t get that much water in the basement. I just have way too much to lose to something like that if it were to be worse. I didn’t have as much space in the spare room as I did in the basement and have to be a tad neater since I have carpet in this room unlike the cold cement basement floor that doesn’t mind the occasional drips of paint left on it. So I decided it was time to rearrange. I took anything that was being store in the spare room and went through it. Throwing things away and moving things to boxes etc. I got very lucky that Walmart was selling a 6ft foldable card table for only $35 online. We went and picked it up today and I totally rearranged everything in the spare room AKA my art room. I can not be happier. Soooo much more work space. The card table alone makes so much of a difference. I have more working space to paint, draw, create zombie messes and dead girl decay. I even have space now for my many supplies.
And with that said this living dead girl is very happy and very inspired to create!!

Just got done watching Season 4 Premiere of Sons of Anarchy…
So excited to see Danny Trejo will be in upcoming episodes!!
Makes me a happy living dead girl!

Free At Last!

As many of you know I have been a strong follower and supporter of the Free The West Memphis Three cause.. including donating my art work to a fundraising/concert event this past year and helping to spread the word etc.
To hear the “surprise” hearing today was a success.. gives me chills in a good way. I am not happy with the plea they were given because I feel they deserved better …. but their freedom is what is worth celebrating!
A day in history for the WM3! Now to put away the real murderers and let the victims RIP!

A Memorable Horror Con Weekend

Well me and my husband Frank went to another horror con this weekend. A BIG thank you and shout out to  my Dad who paid for our hotel room and our tickets for our 30th birthdays (back in Feb) this was one con that as extremely memorable.
This was another con where I came bearing gifts 🙂
First I gave a custom barrette to Scout Taylor Compton who seemed to really love it. She told me she has a photo shoot coming up and she wants to wear it for it! She even said she would send me pictures once the photo shoot is done and she has them. Fingers crossed! She was a complete doll in person.
Barrette I made and gave to Scout Taylor Compton
Frank, Scout and Me!
I also brought my Robert Englund/Freddy Krueger Sweet Dreams original portrait and had the honor of giving it to Robert Englund himself! I also was able to have him sign a print to keep for my portfolio. When I saw him at first it was for a Freddy Krueger Boiler room photo op. I told him “I made this for you and would love to have it in our picture!” He told me he thought the portrait was great! And that it definitely should be in the picture. When we were done taking the picture I asked him if he wanted me to walk it over to his wife for safe keeping he said “wait what.. this is a gift???.. for me??? Wow!! Thank you!!”
He couldn’t believe I was giving him the original and him being in awe of that made all the hard work of drawing it that much more meaningful to me.
Me giving Robert the portrait!! EEK!

Robert torturing my husband ha ha

Chatting with Robert while he signs a print copy of my portrait for me.

My signed print for my portfolio!
On top of all that excitement I was super excited that Sid Haig was appearing at this con. All of you know I have nothing but mad LOVE LOVE LOVE for Sid 🙂 and every chance I get to see him I make it a priority ha ha. When I saw his line had started to die down a little I made it a point to go over to talk to him and catch up on things. He asked me if I started my new job yet and we BS’d for a little while until his line started to get backed up ha ha. I snuck back behind his table for our traditional Sid & Nicole pic before the line got too bad ha ha.
Sid & Me!
On top of that.. they were doing a photo op at the con complete in Sid’s Captain Spaulding makeup so I made sure to save my pennies so me and Frank could do it! When I walked into the room where the pics were be taken and I walked up to him I was like “OMG How freaking awesome it is to see you in full make up and costume!!GAAAHH! and he started to laugh. I had to take my glasses off cause they did something with the green screen and reflection.
This is a scanned copy of the 11×14 print we got at the con.. In about a week I will have a jpg copy of the image that I can post that will be WAY clearer.
Spaulding!! YAY!!
On top of all this awesomeness.. we had the honor of also meeting Malcolm McDowell and Lance Hendrickson…
Malcolm McDowell and me! DROOG!

Lance Hendrickson giving Frank the thumbs up! He loved our tattoos!
The best birthday present ever from the best Dad ever!!
All of these pictures have been added to my celebrity slide show on the About The Dead Girl – Artist Info Page!
I ended the trip by drinking some True Blood on our ride home ha ha
