I am excited to announce that I was contacted by Alivia Hunter from the Los Angeles Costume Swap about my art. She was looking for the perfect prize for their adult zombie costume contest!! After reading about their organization and learning the great things they do I was honored to know they were interested in my work and am happy to donate to their wonderful cause!!
The winner of their GMO Zombie Contest will win…
1 Pin Up Girl Zombie Wall Hanging made by yours truly!
And to contribute to the Pirates Vs Zombies theme I am also donating this Dead Girl Decay Skulls and Crossbones Barrette..
The Los Angles Costume Swap allows kids and adults a chance to swap new-to-them costumes — saving money and the environment — instead of buying new ones that often end up in landfills.
The GMO zombie march is part of the activities for Los Angeles Costume Swap and National Costume Swap Day at Mar Vista Farmers Market in California on October 14th.
It is set to bring awareness to California Right to Know GMO labeling initiative Prop 37 which will appear on voter ballots for the November 6th elections. If passed, Prop. 37 would make California the first state in the U.S. to require labeling of most foods made with genetically modified organisms — those given specific changes to their DNA through genetic engineering techniques.
National Costume Swap Day™ was created by Corey Colwell-Lipson from Green Halloween® and happens every October. It is THE day, all over the U.S. and Canada, that calls on communities to improve Halloween by being healthier, safer and Greener.

As I had mentioned at the beginning of October, I am donating a raffle prize for my friends benefit show. My friends are in the band Expired Empire
and they are throwing a Breast Cancer Halloween show on October 28th. Seeing the cause hits home for me because of my Mom I have decided that instead of donating just one Dead Girl Decay item that I would make a little gift bag of sorts.
The gift bag includes….
1 Large Pink Dead Girl Webbed Decay Barrette/Pin
1 Medium Pin and Black Dead Girl Skullerfly Decay Barrette
1 Breast Cancer rubber bracelet
1 Breast Cancer rubber bracelet with charm
1 Black Skull with pink rhinestone charm
2 Plastic Skull rings
1 Artwork By Living Dead Girl Nicole Postcard
All wrapped up in an awesome Coffin shaped gift bag!

I created my very own stencil to carve this pumpkin so that is why I chose it as my entry for this contest!
