Spitting Image: Friends Til The End

For those of you who love my “Barbie.. Eat Your Heart Out” portrait (of Jennifer Tilly/Tiffany) from Bride Of Chucky,  wait until you see what I just got done checking off my art bucket list! Here’s a clue…..

That’s right. It’s Tiffany’s “other half” aka as Charles Lee Ray/The Lakeshore Strangler/Chucky played by Brad Dourif. I call this one “Friends Til The End”…..

I have been wanting to draw this one for a long time. Child’s Play had a big impact on me as a young horror fan. I remember it truly scaring me when I saw it for the first time (and to watch it now I can’t help but laugh thinking about it). But when Child’s Play came out I was also 7 or 8 years old. I just remember sinking into my seat trying not to look scared and watching it with one eye open and the other one partially closed. I had seen other horror films but none of the killers in those movies looked like a My Buddy doll ha ha. That was a whole new ball game for someone with a bedroom full of dolls and a puppet obsession.

When I drew this piece I kept both eyes open. I also kept all you Freaky Fanatics in mind. So for those of you that already own a print of my Tiffany portrait this piece was designed to complement that piece and you can now hang them together.
